Internazionale boss Luciano Spalletti is planning to sit down and talk with Ivan Perisic regarding his future at the club after the Croatia international became "distracted" by Jose Mourinho's Manchester United in the off-season.

The 28-year-old joined Inter out of Wolfsburg in 2015 and has now been linked with the Red Devils, with ESPN FC's Mark Ogden reporting that the club will not consider any bids valued at less than €55 million (£48 million). Inter had reportedly rejected a €45-million offer from United earlier in the week.

But, even if United meets the Italian outfit's proposed valuation, Spalletti said he'd like a few words with Perisic first.

"I will speak to everyone and, of course, for those who are 'distracted' there will be different words," Spalletti told reporters Sunday, as quoted by ESPN FC.

"I will listen to him. I'm counting on him but we'll have to understand his intentions. It would not be nice for me to hear him say words like 'I want to leave.' We'll see.

"You keep talking about Perisic and his desire to leave but I need to listen to his own words first and then decide how to act.

"In any case, I will say this: We are Inter and we can choose to make different decisions to the ideas of the players. I hope to have him in the side, I am counting on it and I am positive in that sense."
