Jonathan Walters is storming off to Turf Moor.

On Friday, Burnley signed Walters from Stoke City on a two-year deal after the Clarets and the Potters reached an agreement valued at a potential £3 million.

The last seven years of Walters' career were spent at Stoke, where the shrewd footballer's heavy-metal style of play resulted in 62 goals in 269 appearances, including 43 Premier League goals.

Stoke signed Walters from Ipswich Town for £3 million in 2010. He became a favourite among the Potters' supporters, not because of his talent but because of his initiative and hard work on the pitch. He embodied the club's lack of flair and industrial football, and will be remembered in Stoke-on-Trent for years to come.
