Look: Harper debuts new cleats with limited-edition 'Miami Bryce' design

It was in June 1989 that the hit television show "Miami Vice" ended its five-season run on NBC - over three years before a future baseball star named Bryce Harper was born in Las Vegas.

But even though they never crossed paths in the 1980s, Harper will pay tribute to detectives Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs when he takes the field for Tuesday's All-Star Game - right in their own backyard at Miami's Marlins Park. The Washington Nationals superstar will debut his new line of "Harper 2" Under Armour cleats by wearing a garish Miami-themed limited edition of the shoe that's appropriately being called "Miami Bryce."

The cleats' colorway shifts from light pink to a teal-blue color that's similar to the shade used by the Marlins in their unique color scheme, while incorporating images of Miami's famous palm trees all around.

According to Tim Newcomb of Baseball America, the "Harper 2" cleats are lighter than last year's "Harper One," and include a new 10-stud cleat plate designed to help stabilize players' movements on the field.

Last year, the 24-year-old announced his shoe deal with Under Armour in similar fashion when he played the 2016 All-Star Game wearing a platinum version of his original "Harper One" cleats.
