Bruce Arena announced Sunday the 23-man U.S. men's national team roster that will compete in the Gold Cup this summer, with the Seattle Sounders' versatile midfielder Cristian Roldan and new U.S. citizen Dom Dwyer of Sporting Kansas City among the new players that made the final cut.

In total, 16 MLS players earned a spot in the 23-man squad, with New England Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe also earning his first nod for the U.S. team.

New York City FC goalkeeper Sean Johnson and Toronto FC left-back Justin Morrow get their first call-ups since 2013 and 2011 respectively, while KAA Gent attacking midfielder Kenny Saief is in the squad after his switch of international allegiances from Israel.

This current squad lacks some established names like Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey, and Christian Pulisic, all of whom can be added after the group stage.
