It's a recurring summer theme: Daryl Morey is chasing his next star free agent.

The Houston Rockets will pursue each of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Paul Millsap, and Kyle Lowry in free agency this summer, league sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

General manager Morey has reportedly put Ryan Anderson, Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley on the trading block in hopes of clearing cap room to accommodate a major free agent.

All four players the Rockets are targeting would command maximum salaries on the open market. Houston is currently just $15 million under the cap, and would likely have to part with at least two veterans to create enough room to sign any of the big names on its free-agent wish list.

Griffin, Paul, and Lowry appear likely to remain with their current clubs, who can offer each player more money than the Rockets could. The same possibility applies to Millsap, but the Atlanta Hawks appear to be pivoting toward a rebuild and away from their best player.

Houston finished third in the West last season with 55 wins and bowed out in the second round of the playoffs to the San Antonio Spurs.
