For most, holidays provide a needed opportunity for rest and relaxation.

Then there's Monaco star Kylian Mbappe, whose summer sojourn in the sun and sand will be a chance to consider his options, with both Arsenal and Real Madrid pursuing the 18-year-old goal-machine.

On the heels of a breakout campaign with the Ligue 1 winner, Mbappe has become the object of desire for Europe's marquee sides, and with reported bids tabled by Arsenal and Real Madrid subsequently rejected, the gazelle-like runner admits he has a lot to think about this summer.

"We're going to go away with the family and we'll think about what's going to happen," Mbappe said after France's 10-man 3-2 victory over England at the Stade de France, courtesy of the Evening Standard.

"We have to sort it out, see what happens with the club too, because I'm under contract with a club, I'm not free. We'll see what's happening."

"Not free" is an understatement, as both interested parties have reportedly had nine-digit bids denied as Mbappe is poised to challenge Les Bleus brethren Paul Pogba for football's most expensive transfer fee.

Mbappe is on the principality club's books through summer 2019 and is no stranger to advances from Arsenal and Real Madrid. Gunners gaffer Arsene Wenger admits to paying the Mbappe family a visit a year ago, while the fleet-footed forward says the Spanish giant has been pursuing him since he was a wee lad, saying, "Real Madrid have been trying to recruit me since I was 14."
