The Los Angeles Rams have traded former second overall pick Greg Robinson to the Detroit Lions, the team announced.

In return for the offensive tackle, the Rams will receive a sixth-round draft pick in 2018, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Lions are desperate for reinforcements with starting left tackle Taylor Decker expected to miss four-to-six months following shoulder surgery.

Robinson, the first player selected after Jadeveon Clowney in the 2014 draft, was a major bust for the Rams, but the Lions likely couldn't find a better option.

As well as trading for Robinson, the Lions are also signing former Buffalo Bills second-round offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio.
