The Matt Harvey of old is still missing in action.

Five days after pitching five scoreless innings against the Atlanta Braves, Harvey struggled against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday, allowing four earned runs in four innings, including two mammoth home runs to Anthony Rizzo and Kyle Schwarber.

At numerous points during the contest, his fastball was sailing into the zone at 87 mph, which he said was the speed he threw it during his freshman year in high school, according to Newsday's David Lennon.

The 28-year-old, who described himself as feeling "fatigued" and "tired" against the Cubs, plans to see a doctor Thursday.

"My arm was not working at all," he told Lennon.

Harvey, who's less than a year removed from thoracic outlet syndrome, has pitched through an inconsistent season thus far, fashioning an ERA above five. He entered Wednesday's contest with the highest walk rate (4.6 BB/9) and lowest strikeout rate (6.6 K/9) of his career.
