ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith once warned Kevin Durant, "You don't want to make an enemy out of me."

The same warning can probably be attributed to Durant's mom, Wanda, it seems. The real MVP went on "First Take" and pointed out a double standard with Smith calling Durant's move to Golden State "the weakest move in NBA history."

"I thought that was quite harsh," Wanda Durant said. "Who are you Stephen A. to come at my boy like that?

"I think about when he came to ESPN, was that a weak move for him? He joined some more heavy hitters, right? To up his career, right? To do what was best for him, that's what he did, right?

"Nobody called him weak for that, so why call my son weak for doing the same thing he did? Mama just saying."

Smith could not offer a retort since he was unfortunately absent from the show due to a death in the family. Wanda kindly put aside any differences and offered her condolences before launching her point.

"I would like to send my prayers and condolences out to Stephen A. and his family. I know this is a difficult time for them. Let Stephen know that no matter what this is about, that we are still here for him."
