The King of Rome has given up his throne.

After 25 years with Roma, iconic club captain Francesco Totti played his final match with the Giallorossi on Sunday, an emotional affair at a jam-packed Stadio Olimpico.

Roma came away with a dramatic 3-2 win over Genoa. While the triumph was key in that it saw the club book an automatic spot in next season's Champions League, the only thing anybody in the Italian capital really cared about on the day was their longtime hero.

Here, we review some of the numbers that highlight the 40-year-old's excellence during his fantastic career:

1 - Serie A titles won

Totti's lone Scudetto came in 2001. Coincidentally, that's the same year 16-year-old Genoa forward Pietro Pellegri - who scored in Sunday's match at the Stadio Olimpico - was born.

16 - Age when he made his Roma debut

Totti took his first steps on Serie A soil in 1993, when he came on as a late substitute in a 2-0 victory over Brescia.

17 - Managers at Roma during Totti's tenure

They are, in order: Vujadin Boskov, Carlo Mazzone, Carlos Bianchi, Nils Liedholm, Ezio Sella, Zdenek Zeman (twice), Fabio Capello, Cesare Prandelli, Rudi Voller, Luigi Delneri, Bruno Conti, Luciano Spalletti (twice), Claudio Ranieri, Vincenzo Montella, Luis Enrique, Aurelio Andreazzoli, Rudi Garcia.

23 - Serie A seasons in which Totti has scored

Totti scored at least once in 23 of his 25 Serie A seasons, which stands as a record for most years with a tally in Italy's top division.

91 - Penalties converted

That total, procured from 113 attempts, also stands as an Italian record.

250 - Serie A goals scored

Only Silvio Piola, who found the net 274 times in the Italian top flight, scored more Serie A goals than Totti. In all competitions, the Roma icon found the net 307 times for the Giallorossi.

619 - Serie A appearances

On level footing with Juventus icon Gianluigi Buffon, Totti is tied for second on the league's all-time appearance list.

786 - Appearances (in all competitions) for Roma

No player has taken the pitch for Roma as many times as the 40-year-old forward. Daniele De Rossi is second on the club's all-time appearance list, but trails Totti by more than 200 matches.

47,098 - Minutes played in Serie A

The definition of longevity. His time spent on the pitch in Serie A is equivalent to 32 days and 17 hours of football.
