The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the team announced Friday.
It's a one-year deal worth $3 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 34-year-old journeyman has played for six NFL teams and started games for all of them. Most recently, Fitzpatrick was the New York Jets' starter, throwing for 2,710 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions in 14 games (11 starts) last season.
With the Buccaneers, Fitzpatrick will replace Mike Glennon, who departed for the Chicago Bears in free agency, as Jameis Winston's backup.
