Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson was arguably the most versatile player in the NFL last season and he's doing everything he can to become more flexible, quite literally.

Johnson rushed for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns, adding 80 receptions for 879 yards and four more scores last year, earning Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors.

During the offseason, Johnson added yoga to his regimen.

"Getting more flexible, really, is the big thing," Johnson said via the team's official website. "I'm so stiff, especially in my hips and in my hamstrings. I need to work on that."

Johnson operated as the fulcrum of the Cardinals offense last season, with the team relying on him as both an every down bruiser and a receiver.

The 25-year-old is well aware of his role with the Cardinals and could be more prolific in 2017 after cutting sugar out of his diet.

"I think the biggest thing is my legs don't fatigue so fast in the fourth quarter toward the end of the season," Johnson said. "I hope my legs stay fresh for as long as they can."
