Floyd Mayweather Jr. said he wouldn't be where he is today without the help of his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr.
Speaking with TMZ Sports, Mayweather Jr. initially acted coy when asked to name his favorite boxer, explaining how "everybody inspires me." Eventually, though, he acknowledged the important role his father played in his career.
"I really owe all the thanks to my dad because my dad started me off in the beginning," Mayweather Jr. said. "And the main thing, the first thing, that he taught me is the less you get hit, the longer you'll be able to last in the sport of boxing. And that's what I did."
