Masvidal ditches Magny, sets sights on a game 'Wonderboy'

Jorge Masvidal waits for no man.

Mere hours after calling out Neil Magny, the UFC welterweight contender took to Twitter once again Monday. This time, he set his sights on two-time title challenger Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson, suspecting Magny lacked the cojones to meet him in the cage.

Thompson wasted little time in agreeing to square off with "Gamebred" once he's fully recovered from his knee surgery, which he underwent following his March rematch with reigning champion Tyron Woodley.

Hell-bent on earning a statement win after dropping a split decision to Demian Maia at UFC 211 this past Saturday, Masvidal made sure to ask how long Thompson would need to regain peak form after promising to tune up the world-class kickboxer.

Wonderboy's coming off two failed bids to dethrone Woodley and Masvidal got the short end of a potential title eliminator last week, so it would behoove matchmaker Sean Shelby to put the wheels in motion for what promises to be a striker's ball.
