Heavyweight Championship: Stipe Miocic def. Junior dos Santos via 1st-round TKO

Miocic needed just over two minutes to get even with dos Santos and retain the heavyweight strap. Miocic tied the UFC's heavyweight record with his second consecutive title defense and took sole ownership of its longest active knockout streak with five.

Strawweight Championship: Joanna Jedrzejczyk def. Jessica Andrade via unanimous decision

Jedrzejczyk's fifth title defense was as good as it gets.

The Polish striking specialist diced up Andrade for five rounds to win a one-sided unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC 211 on Saturday. Andrade had her moments, taking Jedrzejczyk down early and landing enough strikes to cause a hematoma to develop on the champ's forehead. But once Jedrzejczyk found her rhythm, it was all downhill for the challenger, who spent the whole fight chasing Jedrzejczyk and receiving nothing but counter punches and leg kicks for her efforts.

In the end, Jedrzejczyk was awarded two scores of 50-45 and one 50-44.

Welterweight: Demian Maia def. Jorge Masvidal via split decision

The greatest one-trick pony in the sport, Maia once again flaunted his world-class jiu-jitsu skills and trapped a game Masvidal in several precarious positions to take two of three scorecards, extend his win streak to seven, and leave UFC president Dana White no choice but to anoint him the next challenger to Tyron Woodley's welterweight strap. Masvidal lit Maia up on the feet and made him fight for every takedown, but couldn't keep the fight standing long enough to steal the victory.

Featherweight: Frankie Edgar def. Yair Rodriguez via 2nd-round TKO (doctor stoppage)

Edgar wasn't going to be a stepping stone for the highly touted Rodriguez, who was treated to two rounds of vicious ground-and-pound before the attending physician deemed him unfit to fight the third. The former champ handed the prospect his first taste of defeat in the UFC and picked up his seventh win over his last eight fights with the dominant showing.

Middleweight: David Branch def. Krzysztof Jotko via split decision

It wasn't exactly a statement win, but Branch did just enough to get his hand raised in his return to the UFC by keeping Jotko from finding his groove. The former two-division WSOF champ scored a few pivotal takedowns and neutralized Jotko's striking with a clinch-heavy performance that convinced two judges to give him the nod by a 29-28 score. Branch picked up his 11th straight win, while Jotko's five-fight win streak was snapped.

Lightweight: Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirier ends in no-contest due to accidental illegal knee strike in Round 2

A potential classic came to an abrupt and confusing end when Alvarez appeared to drill Poirier with an illegal knee in the second round of the UFC 211 preliminary headliner. Alvarez and Poirier were just starting to put together a series of spine-tingling striking sequences when a knee connected with Poirier's head while he was in a grounded position.

Referee Herb Dean deemed the strike to be accidental, resulting in a no-contest as opposed to a disqualification win for Poirier.

Sherman landed the telling blow, an elbow to Coulter's head that left him crumpled against the cage.

Featherweight: Enrique Barzola def. Gabriel Benitez via unanimous decision

Despite eating a bevy of kicks to the body and a looping left hand that dropped him at the very last second, Barzola's workmanlike ways were enough to get the nod on all three scorecards by a 29-28 tally. "El Fuerte" fearlessly hung with Benitez on the feet to set up takedown after takedown, and nearly put his foe away with a late rear-naked choke attempt en route to his second straight win.
