Stephens to battle Choi at UFC St. Louis
A surefire featherweight barn burner is headed to the Lou.
Jeremy Stephens and Doo Ho Choi will square off at UFC Fight Night 124 on Jan. 14 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, the promotion announced Friday.
The 31-year-old Stephens makes his 27th walk to the Octagon with a 6-5 record since moving down from lightweight over four years ago. The hard-hitting fan favorite most recently snapped a two-fight skid with a lopsided decision over Gilbert Melendez at UFC 215 in September.
Choi returns to the cage after injuries kept him out of action for all of 2017. The KO artist last fought at UFC 206, where he fell to Cub Swanson by unanimous decision in an instantly classic three-round battle. The 26-year-old had won each of his three previous promotional bouts by first-round knockout.
A main event has not yet been attached to the UFC's first trip to the Missouri city.
