Cormier, Manuwa snipe away at each other on Twitter
Daniel Cormier isn't putting all of his eggs in the Jon Jones basket.
While a rematch between "DC" and the man who never actually lost the light heavyweight title is a fight that must happen at some point, Cormier also has a budding feud with Jimi Manuwa to consider should he and Jones fail to get on the same page in the near future.
On Friday, Manuwa posted a picture of himself with UFC president Dana White accompanied by a caption aimed at Cormier (and boxer David Haye) that said, "I'm coming!"

Cormier successfully defended his 205-lb title against Anthony Johnson this past Saturday at UFC 210 and he dressed down "Poster Boy" in his post-fight interview, telling the British challenger to wait his turn.
In response, Manuwa threatened to break Cormier's face.
The champ used Manuwa's tweet as an excuse to fire off his own retort, saying Manuwa would be "a lamb to slaughter", while also mocking his style choices:
U better keep my name out of your mouth homie. Dana would be sending a lamb to slaughter. Btw nice white shorts! https://t.co/S7YdRuENq0

It escalated from there and it looks like the UFC will have something to work with if Cormier and Manuwa are eventually booked to fight:
@dc_mma Haha. Or what? U and I know ur not gonna do anything. Real recognise real brother. We will fight!! U will go to sleep. Ur a nice guy really
