Watch: Lacazette's cracking strike caps 6-goal thriller vs. Roma
It was the finish Thursday's first leg deserved.
Not to be outdone by his teammates' previous scoring feats against Roma, prolific Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette whacked a soaring shot top corner for the night's sixth and final goal.
It confirmed a dramatic 4-2 Europa League victory over the Italian visitor, and put the French side in firm control of its fate in the last-16 tie as it looks forward to the reverse fixture in Rome on March 16.
Lyon started the second half on a mission after giving up the lead in the opening 45 minutes.
Not 120 seconds after the interval, Lacazette played a string of incisive passes that cut up the Roma defence and allowed teammate Corentin Tolisso to even the match at 2-2.
An open and fearless game at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais produced several chances for both teams, but the host regained the advantage when deceptive midfielder Nabil Fekir dribbled around three opponents and fired a quick shot past helpless goalkeeper Alisson.

Lacazette - linked with Arsenal and a swath of other European outfits as he approaches the final two years of his contract - sealed a celebratory evening in the 92nd minute with a sensational strike.
It was his 16th goal in his past 16 outings across all competitions for the Ligue 1 competitor.
