The "Eighth Wonder of the World" is getting his own documentary.

World Wrestling Entertainment, HBO Sports, and the Bill Simmons Media Group are working together to produce a film about wrestling great Andre the Giant, according to a WWE press release.

"For more than 20 years, Andre the Giant’s larger than life personality and unique charisma captured the imagination of fans around the world," said Vince McMahon, chairman and CEO of WWE. "I will always value our friendship, and I am proud to tell the story of the 'Eighth Wonder of the World.'"

Andre the Giant, who was born in France as Andre Rene Roussimoff, was one of the most influential wrestlers the business has ever seen, using his 7-foot-4 stature and 500-plus-pound frame to dominate opponents in the squared circle.

The wrestling great, and inaugural inductee into WWE's Hall of Fame, may be best remembered for his clash with Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania III, which was consummated with Hogan's body slam of the Giant in front of 93,173 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome.
