Report: Yahoo's Wojnarowski nearing deal with ESPN

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski is nearing a deal to leave Yahoo and join ESPN, sources told Deadspin's Kevin Draper.

Wojnarowski wouldn't be the only Yahoo reporter to make the switch, according to Draper.

"Woj" has spent the last decade with Yahoo, becoming the NBA's biggest newsbreaker during his time with the company. Wojnarowski recently launched his own site under the Yahoo called The Vertical, convincing reporters Shams Charania, Michael Lee, and Chris Mannix to join him.

He is in the midst of a four-year, $6-million deal he signed with Yahoo last year, meaning ESPN may need to buy Wojnarowski out.

Wojnarowski wrote columns for ESPN.com during the early 2000s before moving to Yahoo.
