Fairfield's Tyler Nelson: Goes for 29 on Monday

Nelson had 29 points (10-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT) to go with two rebounds, two steals, and a block in Monday's loss to Quinnipiac.

Analysis:

It was a valiant effort from Nelson on Monday, but it wasn't quite enough to help Fairfield stave off the loss at home. Still, it was Nelson's best offensive showing in conference play overall as he topped his 27-point showing against Iona on Jan. 20. Nelson is far and away Fairfield's best offensive threat as his 19.5 points per game lead the team by a full five points.
