A number of teams with vacancies are expected to bring aboard men with no head coaching experience. Just who are these mysterious leading men? Let theScore's NFL editors break it down for you.

Anthony Lynn

Position: Los Angeles Chargers head coach
Age: 48
Hometown: McKinney, Texas
Previous employment: Running backs coach to offensive coordinator to interim coach of the Buffalo Bills
Years coaching in NFL: 17
Previous teams: Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Bills

Why he's the man for the job:

Lynn is far from the big-splash hire you'd expect from a team moving to Los Angeles, but the even-keeled 48-year-old should be perfect for a team that's set to face a lot of adversity during its relocation.

His inexperience is a concern, given the challenges he'll face from the move, but with Ken Whisenhunt retained as his offensive coordinator and Gus Bradley reportedly the favorite to oversee the defense, Lynn will have two guys with head coaching experience to lean on.

Lynn should also revitalize the Chargers' running backs, a necessity with Philip Rivers entering the final years of his career. Los Angeles ranked 26th in rushing yards per game (94.4) this season, despite a breakout season from Melvin Gordon. The Bills under Lynn? First in the league by a significant margin, averaging 164.4 yards per game.

What he's also known for:

Working primarily as a reserve running back and special teams ace, Lynn's playing career spanned nine seasons. Outside of two years with the San Francisco 49ers, Lynn spent his career with the Denver Broncos and was part of back-to-back Super Bowl-winning teams in 1997 and 1998.

Lynn joined Mike Shanahan's coaching staff with the Broncos after he retired in 2000, and is also a disciple of former coaching giant Bill Parcells, meaning he has been up close and personal with multiple Super Bowl-winning head coaches.

As a long-time running backs coach, Lynn is known for his desire for ground-and-pound football, as well as an explosive passing unit and an up-tempo offense.

What people are saying about him:

"Anthony Lynn is that leader-type coach that we could use. I love him. I'm excited he's up for the (Bills) job, hopefully, he gets it." - Bills running back LeSean McCoy

"He can relate to the players. He does a great job, he knows the game. He does a good job motivating. I think he's a team-builder. So I think there’s a lot of things to like about Anthony Lynn." - Ex-Bills head coach Rex Ryan
