Watch: Embiid explains how his love of Shirley Temples began

It's no secret that Joel Embiid loves Shirley Temples. He once admitted to drinking three-to-four pitchers of the drink daily and reportedly plans to sell pre-bottled Shirley Temples under "The Process" trademark.

The Philadelphia 76ers rookie was asked how he started drinking Shirley Temples while chatting with the media Wednesday, and shared this story:

I was at Kansas one night when I got to college. I didn't go out at all and then one night, I went out with my teammates. I don't drink alcohol, so I wasn't drinking.

And this girl walked up to me, she was like talking to me. She's like, "Why aren't you drinking?" I was like, "I just don't drink. Alcohol is nasty." And then she was like, "I might have something for you."

So she went and got a Shirley Temple and then I was like, "Oh, okay!" I then fell in love with it and since then I've been drinking it."

He also admitted he's had to cut down on his Shirley Temple consumption for dietary reasons, but still drinks one almost every day.
