Injury Roundup: Carr, Mariota suffer devastating fibula injuries

Reinhold Matay / USA TODAY Sports

Here's a roundup of notable players who suffered injuries in Week 16:

Derek Carr, Raiders
Carr broke his fibula against the Colts and is out indefinitely. Depending on how surgery goes Sunday, he could return at some point in the playoffs, but his chances are slim. Matt McGloin will start in Carr`s absence.

Marcus Mariota, Titans
The Titans were dealt their biggest blow of the season Saturday, losing Mariota to a year-ending fibula fracture. Matt Cassel will be under center for the Titans' key Week 17 finale.

Aaron Rodgers, Packers
Rodgers announced after beating the Vikings that he suffered a stinger in the game, which is unlikely to give the quarterback any problems the rest of the year.

Tyler Lockett, Seahawks
The second-year receiver/returner gruesomely broke his leg while hauling in a pass against the Cardinals and will not return this season.

Carlos Hyde, 49ers
With just 12 rushing yards to go before reaching 1,000 for the first time in his career, Hyde was forced to leave the 49ers' game in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. He will undergo an MRI on Sunday.

Thomas Rawls, Seahawks
Rawls was forced to leave the Seahawks game with what Pete Carroll called a bruised shoulder. There is no timetable for Rawls' return, while Alex Collins took the bulk of his carries.

Robert Griffin III, Browns
In just his third game back since returning from a shoulder injury, RG3 suffered a concussion against the Chargers on Saturday. Cody Kessler replaced him and led the Browns to their 1st win of the year.

Bryce Petty, Jets
For the second game in a row, Petty was replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick due to injury. This week, it was a dislocated shoulder that forced Petty's exit. He will have an MRI on Sunday.

Kenny Britt, Rams
After becoming the first Rams receiver to record 1,000 yards since 2007, Britt hurt his shoulder, did not return, and was seen wearing a sling on the sidelines.

Joe Haden, Browns
The Browns' best defensive back suffered another neck injury Saturday, and did not return to the field to experience his team's first win of the season.

DeSean Jackson & Robert Kelley, Redskins
The Redskins suffered a pair of injuries to key offensive contributors, as DeSean Jackson hurt his jaw and Robert Kelley picked up a knee problem in Saturday's win. Neither returned to the game, but due to the 41-21 final score, it may have been precautionary.

Leonard Floyd & Pernell McPhee, Bears
The Bears saw both of their top outside linebackers leave Saturday's loss to the Redskins. First-round pick Leonard Floyd was diagnosed with a concussion, while Pernell McPhee suffered a shoulder injury.

T.J. Yeldon & Chris Ivory, Jaguars
The Jaguars' running backs corps was quickly thinned out in their win over the Titans, as Jacksonville lost both Ivory (hamstring) and Yeldon (ankle) to injuries. Corey Grant took over running back duties, carrying nine times for 27 yards.
