Mehringer becomes 8th OC in 11 years to leave Rutgers

Rutgers has reportedly lost offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer to Texas, according to Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated.
This marks the eighth different offensive coordinator to depart the Scarlet Knights in the last eleven seasons, obviously not a good trend.

Mehringer is now reunited with recently hired Longhorns coach Tom Herman, who he worked with for seven seasons. He will now take the position as the Longhorns pass game coordinator.
