Redskins' Josh Doctson: Seen without boot

According to head coach Jay Gruden, Doctson (Achilles) has been walking around without a boot, Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Doctson was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 7 due to continued soreness in his Achilles. Although that's disappointingly ruled him out for a large chunk of his rookie season, it's encouraging to know he's now out of a walking boot. Furthermore, Gruden says he considers Doctson a candidate to return later in the season. While he isn't eligible to play again until the last couple weeks of the campaign, thus ruling out any meaningful fantasy consideration this year, Doctson could eventually bolster a Redskins receiving corps that is dealing with an injury to top option DeSean Jackson (shoulder) at the moment.
