Twitter announced Thursday it plans to discontinue Vine, the six-second web video platform that changed the way a generation consumes sports highlights.

Vine was perfect for watching (and re-watching on infinite repeat) the best plays from each night in sports, but what really made Vine special was the way it captured unexpected and humorous moments.
