South Florida's Quinton Flowers: Suffers hamstring injury
Flowers left the fourth quarter of Friday's game against Temple with a hamstring injury, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis:
The Bulls were down seven points late before Flowers' injury, and everything was a remarkable collapse from there. Backup quarterback Brett Kean threw an interception returned to the South Florida three-yard line upon entering the game, and after Temple ran for a touchdown Kean managed to take a safety just minutes later. In other words, if Flowers has to miss time, South Florida may be in even more trouble than one might assume. Flowers was playing well before leaving, completing 11-of-19 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns while running for 90 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries. He should be considered questionable for the upcoming game against Navy until further notice.
