Canadiens' Shaw won't be disciplined for slew foot on Sabres' Larsson
Andrew Shaw has avoided a second suspension in almost two weeks.
After being slapped with a three-game ban for boarding Washington Capitals defenseman Connor Hobbs during the preseason, the Montreal Canadiens forward avoided further discipline for his slew foot on Buffalo Sabres forward Johan Larsson at the conclusion of Thursday's contest, a NHL spokesman told Pro Hockey Talk's Mike Halford.
No suspension for Andrew Shaw but Senior VP of Player Safety Stephane Quintal wants to meet with him. An 'educational' meeting, says Shaw.
