Nationals' Wilson Ramos: Could have torn meniscus in addition to ACL tear
Surgery on Ramos' torn ACL could reveal possible meniscus tears as well, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
Analysis:
He expects to have surgery to repair the ACL tear this weekend, and it sounds like the extent of the injury could go beyond the ACL tear. Ramos can safely be ruled out for the first month or two of the 2017 season, and if surgery reveals further damage to his knee, he could be out even longer. This will obviously have a major impact on his free agency this winter, but it still seems like the Nationals are an ideal fit, as they don't have a solid replacement if he were to leave and he has developed a solid rapport with the pitching staff.
