Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson left Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury suffered during the third quarter.
Peterson hopped off the field and was aided by trainers before heading to the sideline. The star running back was then helped to the locker room, unable to put weight on his right leg. Peterson was ruled out for the game shortly thereafter.
Prior to exiting, Peterson rushed for just 19 yards on 12 carries, adding two receptions for seven yards.
Running backs Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata should be expected to play more snaps in Peterson's absence.
