Browns' Griffin responds to criticism from Hall of Famer Green
Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III was recently criticized by Washington Redskins legend Darrell Green for the "selfish" and "childish" manner in which he handled the fame he accrued after his explosive rookie season.
The 26-year-old has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Rebecca Liddicoat, the mother of his 15-month-old child. He also reportedly has the name of his new girlfriend tattooed on his forearm.
Griffin responded to Green's comments in a media scrum with Browns reporters.

"I make sure I don't focus on those things. This is the first time I've ever heard of that," Griffin said.
"For Darrell, a guy that I know personally, that's his prerogative. Whatever you say in the public sphere, you have to make sure you're ready to say that in privacy as well. Darrell hasn't approached me about anything and I consider him a friend so that's disappointing but it's nothing that I can control. I just focus on being here with the Browns, worry about football, focus on that."
Griffin will return to Washington for a Week 4 game on Oct. 2.
