Paris Saint-Germain has made its fourth significant signing of the summer window, securing prodigious Argentine attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso on a five-year deal.

Lo Celso, 20, joins the four-time defending Ligue 1 champ through 2021, the club announced with a statement on its website Tuesday.

Lo Celso will remain on loan with Club Atletico Rosario Central until Dec 2016.

Highly-touted as the next breakthrough Argentinian, Lo Celso will get an opportunity to prove his worth during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio as part of La Albiceleste's 18-man squad.

Born in Rosario, Lo Celso comes from a veritable hotbed of footballing talent that has also produced the likes of Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, and Mauro Icardi.

"I'm delighted to have signed for Paris Saint-Germain," Lo Celso said after completing his medical in Paris.

A summer of flux with the capital club has witnessed the departures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and manager Laurent Blanc. Those exits have been offset by the signings of Grzegorz Krychowiak, Hatem Ben Arfa and Thomas Meunier to mark the start of the Unai Emery era at the Stade de France.

Lo Celso appears delighted to play a part in Emery's PSG.

"I will soon join one of Europe's most important clubs with a squad comprising numerous great players, including my compatriots Angel Di Maria and Javier Pastore."

"I hope to follow in their footsteps and become a key player for my future club. I would like to thank Paris Saint-Germain for the faith they have shown in me, and also the club where I came through the ranks, Rosario Central, which allowed me to fulfill my dream of becoming a footballer."
