Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was arrested for assault in East Lansing, Mich., early Sunday morning, East Lansing court documents show.

Green's arraignment is scheduled for July 20. If convicted, Green could face a fine of up to $500 and a maximum of 93 days in jail. He was released on a $200 bond.

The East Lansing Police Department told ESPN's Ethan Strauss that the incident "was basically an altercation between two guys," and that there were no injuries.

The Warriors released a statement after reports first emerged of Green's arrest.

"We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in Michigan over the weekend," the team said. "At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation."

Green, who is set to represent the United States next month at Rio 2016, earned his first All-Star and All-NBA selections this past season.

USA Basketball director Jerry Colangelo told Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports that he was not aware of the arrest.
