Evaluating the Top 30 Fantasy Players by ADP- Part II

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Here's a look at how the top 30 fantasy players in terms of preseason ADP ultimately finished in standard-scoring leagues (You can find Part I here; ADP and rank courtesy FantasyPros):

C Rudy Gobert, Jazz

ADP RANK PTS AST REB BLK
16 91 9.1 1.5 11.0 2.2

Waiver wire gold in 2014-15, Gobert entered 2015-16 with immensely high hopes. Unfortunately, and much to the dismay of owners who spent an early round pick on him, the Stifle Tower only marginally increased his rebounding and PPG averages. Expect a third- or fourth-round ADP next season.

Blake Griffin, Clippers

ADP RANK PTS AST REB USG%
17 187 21.4 4.9 8.4 29.8

Griffin's combination of athleticism and skill is evident in his well-rounded production. However, health issues have limited him to a combined 92 games the past two seasons. These concerns will negatively impact his upcoming ADP, but take that as increased value more than anything.

PF LaMarcus Aldridge, Spurs

ADP RANK PTS AST REB USG%
18 31 18.0 1.5 8.5 25.9

Aldridge saw his points, rebounds, and usage rating all decrease in 2015-16, all of which was when he moved to San Antonio. Though he can be an offensive force at times, San Antonio's regular season is often a graveyard for fantasy purposes. His ADP should fall into third or fourth round territory.

PF Serge Ibaka, Thunder

ADP RANK PTS AST REB BLK
19 45 12.6 0.8 6.5 1.9

Like Aldridge, Ibaka's numbers dipped in 2015-16. His PPG hit a three year low, while his rebounding and blocks only trumped his rookie season averages. More of a defensive stalwart than offensive juggernaut, Ibaka is a depth piece that can be waited on in fantasy drafts.

PF/C Marc Gasol, Grizzlies

ADP RANK PTS AST REB FG%
20 86 16.6 3.8 7.0 46.4

Though Gasol's FG percentage was the worst of his career, his well-rounded style buoys his value. A 3.8 APG mark ranked third among centers and his PPG mark remained steady. Entering next year, Gasol's ADP will slide as a fractured right foot limited his 2015-16 campaign to just 52 games.

PF Paul Millsap, Hawks

ADP RANK PTS AST REB FG%
21 10 17.1 3.3 9.0 47.0

Millsap put together a strong year with minor increases in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks. The Hawks dynamic power forward did, however, shoot 47 percent from the floor - the second-worst mark of his career. Ultimately, the strength of Millsap's overall play will keep his ADP in the third round.

PG Kyle Lowry, Raptors

ADP RANK PTS AST REB STL
22 13 21.2 6.4 4.7 2.1

Lowry cracked the 20 PPG mark for the first time thanks a career high in 3PTM (2.8), ranking third among point guards. His 2.1 steals per game also tied the league high. Lowry's ADP should make him the fifth PG selected after Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, John Wall, and Chris Paul.

PF Nikola Vucevic, Magic

ADP RANK PTS AST REB BLK
23 47 18.2 2.8 8.9 1.1

After 45 double doubles in 2014-15, Vucevic finished 2015-16 with a disappointing 29. This season also signaled the first time in three years that Vucevic failed to average a double-double. Though his ADP will fall, a return to form would make him a nice value play in the mid-to-late third round.

PF Draymond Green, Warriors

ADP RANK PTS AST REB FG%
24 7 14.0 7.4 9.5 49.0

Green cemented himself as one of the best all-around players this year; 33 double-doubles and 13 triple-doubles will do that. As well, a career high in FG percentage led to a personal-best PPG mark. Green's 2016-17 ADP should take a sizeable jump, into the 10-15 range overall.

PF/C Pau Gasol, Bulls

ADP RANK PTS AST REB BLK
25 21 16.5 4.1 11.0 2.0

At age 35, the Spaniard managed to play in 72 games while averaging 31 minutes. Though Gasol's double-double average is impressive, fantasy owners will wonder how much gas the 16-year vet has left. His ADP should remain in third-round territory.

C Al Horford, Hawks

ADP RANK PTS AST REB 3PA
26 17 15.2 3.2 7.3 3.1

Horford was a workhorse in 2015-16, playing in all 82 games. His 3PA jumped drastically considering he had never averaged for than one per game prior to this year. While he's not an elite scorer or rebounder, he's a reliable one. Expect a similar ADP and similar averages next year.

PF Kevin Love, Cavaliers

ADP RANK PTS AST REB USG%
27 39 16.0 2.4 9.9 23.4

A tumultuous year in Cleveland resulted in Love finishing with mediocre averages across the board. Offensively limited by LeBron and Kyrie Irving, Love has now averaged 16 PPG in back-to-back seasons. An ADP in the late third round seems likely.

SG Gordon Hayward, Jazz

ADP RANK PTS AST REB 3P%
28 29 19.7 3.7 5.0 34.9

Another strong but unspectacular year for Hayward. Nearly all of his 2015-16 numbers echoed his 2014-15 averages. In essence: little improvement and little disappointment. As a whole, it seems unlikely Hayward turns into an elite scorer though he will remain a consistent one.

PF Nerlens Noel, 76ers

ADP RANK PTS AST REB FG%
29 60 11.1 1.8 8.1 52.1

Noel played in 67 games in 2015-16, a high total for someone perpetually listed as a game-time decision. The main issue here is the development of Jahlil Okafor and how his presence is likely to dominate Philadelphia's frontcourt. Noel's ADP should fall into the late fourth round.

PG Kyrie Irving, Cavaliers

ADP RANK PTS AST REB MPG
30 94 19.6 4.7 3.0 31.5

Irving remained a top scoring PG despite sinking below 20 PPG for the first time since his rookie season. Injuries also limited the dynamic scorer to 53 games. A full 2016-17 season would make him a nice value pick as his upcoming ADP will falter.
