Myles Gaskin had a slow start to the Heart of Dallas Bowl. Washington's freshman running back, who had over 1,100 rushing yards this season, was held to just 23 yards on his first 13 carries by the Southern Mississippi defense.
That changed in a hurry late in the third quarter, however, as Gaskin broke off a remarkable run to give his squad the lead.
The 86-yard scamper was Gaskin's longest run of the season and his third touchdown of the day. It gave the Huskies a 31-24 lead.
