Ex-Kentucky QB Patrick Towles transfers to Boston College
Former Kentucky quarterback Patrick Towles has announced his transfer to Boston College.
Towles, who started nine games for the Wildcats, will not be subject to sitting out, as he'll be transferring as a fifth-year player.
In late November, Towles announced his intention to leave the program, but it appears the process was expedited when the Wildcats fired offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson.
At the time, Towles showed his displeasure over Twitter.
"Coach Dawson is one of the greatest offensive minds I've ever been around," he said. "Would love to sit in the same meeting room with him again!"
Towles finished the 2015 seasons with 2,148 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
He will have a go at turning around one of college football’s worst offenses, as the Eagles owned the third-worst scoring unit in the FBS this past season.
