Wisconsin's Jaden Gault ends career due to blood clots
Wisconsin offensive lineman Jaden Gault announced Thursday he will end his football career after doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs.
"Thank you for all the support my family and friends!" Gault wrote in a tweet. "The doctors found blood clots in each of my lungs… Very shocking news but I’m lucky the doctors found them as early as they did. I’m starting blood-thinners and I’m hopefully being discharged from the hospital soon. Unfortunately, this ends any chance of me returning to play football again. God has a different plan for me and I’m on to the next chapter of my life."
Gault joined the Badgers as a four-star recruit in the 2014 class, but never played, as he soon left the program to treat depression and didn't see the field afterwards.
