VIDEO: Rutgers spikes the ball on 4th down to lose vs. Michigan State

Usually, a team will attempt a game-tying hail mary in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter when trailing by a touchdown.
Apparently, Rutgers prefers the spike strategy. On fourth down against No. 4 Michigan State, Rutgers quarterback Chris Laviano attempted to stop the clock by throwing the ball into the ground, turning the ball over on downs and effectively ending the game.
Good times.
