Michigan's Mario Ojemudia done for season with Achilles injury

Mitch Stringer / USA TODAY Sports

Michigan's stingy defense was dealt a tough blow Monday as head coach Jim Harbaugh announced defensive end Mario Ojemudia is out for the season with an Achilles injury.

Ojemudia left Saturday's win over Maryland early in the fourth quarter after recording five tackles.

The senior pass rusher joins nose tackle Bryan Mone as the Wolverines second defensive starter to be ruled out for the 2015 campaign.

The timing of Ojemudia's injury is poor, as Michigan is coming off two consecutive shutouts, and faces No. 13 Northwestern in Week 6.
