Ohio State tops preseason Coaches Poll; TCU ahead of Alabama
After finishing No. 1 with all 62 first-place votes in January's final coaches' poll following its 42-20 victory over Oregon in the national title game, Ohio State again finds itself atop the poll nearly seven months later.
The Buckeyes received 62 of 64 first-place votes from a voting panel made up of Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches chosen by the American Football Coaches Association. The other two first-place votes went to TCU and Alabama.
The SEC leads the way with eight teams inside the top 25, and the Pac-12 is next with six.
The Big 12, which was slighted by the College Football Playoff selection committee in its final set of rankings for 2014, holds two of the first four spots in the coaches' poll.
