Georgia Tech has offered head coach Paul Johnson a contract extension, according to Jeff Schultz of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The school's offer Monday comes after the absence of negotiations between Georgia Tech and Johnson for months.
“We’re exchanging numbers now and we’re actually in discussion for an extension,” said Jack Reale, Johnson’s agent, after receiving the extension offer. “I don’t want to characterize anything further than that.”
Johnson has led the Yellow Jackets to a 10-2 season, including a 30-24 upset over Georgia on Saturday. Georgia Tech won the ACC Coastal Division title and will face undefeated Florida State for the conference championship.
