VIDEO: Ref gets booed for calling USF 'UCF'

Well, here's a quick way to get the home fans to turn against you: announce the wrong name.
During Friday night's game between South Florida and Connecticut, referee Todd LaPenta announced that the Bulls had taken their first timeout. The problem was rather than announce that "USF" had taken the timeout, LaPenta said "UCF," the acronym for inter-state and inter-conference rival Central Florida.
Not surprisingly, the crowd let LaPenta hear it after his mistake:
At least the ref was able to take it all in stride and share an embarrassed smile following his error:
