Arkansas State University players may restore decal crosses to their helmets, claims the Associated Press. The decals were intended to honor a player and equipment manager who died earlier this year.
On Wednesday, the school refused to place crosses on the back of the Red Wolves' football helmets. It instead allowed athletes to add their own remembrances as long as they comply with NCAA Rules.
Earlier this week, a Texas-based law firm complained that the university violated its students' rights by removing decal crosses from the team's helmet.
