Report: Colt Lyerla arrested for DUI
Colt Lyerla just can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. The former Oregon Ducks tight end, who spent the preseason with the Green Bay Packers, was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, according to a report from The Oregonian.
Per the report, Lyerla "is suspected of being high on either illegal drugs or prescription medications when he was pulled over." He was also arrested back in October and pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.
Lyerla was suspended by the Ducks during the 2013 season and decided to leave the team. He tried to gain entrance into the NFL, but went undrafted before signing with the Packers.
The 21-year-old Lyerla's time in Green Bay didn't yield many opportunities and he suffered a knee injury during practice Aug. 2. He would not suit up for the Packers again prior to his release on Aug. 26.
