Potential USC starting tight end Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick has been deemed academically ineligible for the upcoming school year and will miss the season as a result. USC head coach Steve Sarkisian made the announcement Monday.
Cope-Fitzpatrick only registered one catch last season but was slated to become a potential starter for the Trojans as a result of senior Randall Telfer's knee problems.
