West Virginia and NC State schedule home-and-home series for 2018, '19
Just a day after West Virginia announced that it would open the 2018 season by playing Tennessee in Charlotte, the Mountaineers have revealed they will take part in a home-and-home series with N.C. State in 2018 and '19.
The Wolfpack will host West Virginia Sept. 15, 2018 in Raleigh and then travel to Morgantown Sept. 14, 2019.
"I am excited about this series, because it gives our football program and our fans an outstanding home-and-home series with a team from the ACC," said Oliver Luck, West Virginia's Director of Athletics.
"WVU has a lot of alumni living in North Carolina, especially in the triangle region, so it gives our fans a game that is close. We have had competitive games over the years with NC State and this is a chance to restart the series."
The Wolfpack and Mountaineers have met 10 times previously, the most recent of which being a 32-7 victory for NC State in the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl. Overall, the series is split at five wins each.
