Read option: Inside Notre Dame's stadium expansion
Notre Dame's $400 million stadium expansion could push capacity over 84,000, according to reports. Early computer generated plans of the expansion show as many as three new buildings go up around the stadium, which are expected to house classrooms, meeting spaces, practice facilities, and a ballroom.
Ground will be broken once 100 percent of the money for construction is pledged, according to WSBT-TV.
The question on many Fighting Irish alumni and fans' minds is 'what will change?'
Video monitors will be installed in the stadium, although the school has not elaborated on the details. Here's a look at how the expansion could look, and some feedback from fans and the program, via WSBT.

Ex-Maryland coach to take offensive coordinator position at Rutgers
Rutgers had reportedly tabbed Ralph Friedgen as its new offensive coordinator. Friedgen, NJ.com reports, is close to reaching an agreement with the program. Friedgen was Maryland's head coach from 2001-2010.
Friedgen has not coach since he was fired by Maryland following a 9-4 finish in 2010. He was named ACC coach of the year for the second time in his career in 2010. Scarlett Knights head coach Kyle Flood was purported to have pursued Brian Angelichio as his next offensive coordinator, but the addition of Friedgen gives the program an instant boost on offense.
