Georgia RB Todd Gurley: 'Stats mean stuff'
Georgia lost star quarterback Aaron Murray to a torn ACL, but running back Todd Gurley plans on stepping up and padding his stats against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
"Yeah, I looked at them," the oft-injured Gurley said of his season's stats. "But it is what it is. I'm just trying to finish this season out strong and get these last two wins."
Gurley has 781 rushing yards entering Saturday's contest, a far cry from his 1,385 yards on the ground last year as a freshman.
"Stats mean stuff, but teams break them up all the time," Gurley added. "We're definitely going to run the ball (Saturday)."
Georgia Tech boasts the 10th-ranked rush defense, allowing just 104 yards per game. The stop unit has only been burned for more than 100 yards once this season - a 184-yard outburst by Miami's Duke Johnson in Week 6.
