Former Auburn quarterback Deuce Knight is transferring to Ole Miss, he told On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Knight was the 40th-ranked recruit in the 2025 class, according to ESPN's 300. He made one start for Auburn last season and entered the portal in late December.

Knight's commitment to Ole Miss comes a few days after quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was denied his waiver request for a sixth year of eligibility. Chambliss' attorney hinted that he's preparing legal action against the NCAA.

Knight shined in his first career college football start against Mercer on Nov. 22, completing 15 of 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. He also torched the Bears on the ground, rushing for 162 yards and four scores.

Pete Golding will take over as Ole Miss' full-time head coach after Lane Kiffin took the LSU job. Golding helped guide Ole Miss to the College Football Playoff semifinals as the Rebels' interim coach.

Ole Miss finished first in the SEC in yards per game in 2025 and third in points per contest.
